When Beck toured with Evel Knievel in 1994 he was selling copies of Golden Feelings at the merchandise booth. At the April 1 The Grand (New York City) show they had no copies left and hired a local company to dub a small quantity to sell at the show.

This version features no artwork, just label contact info and a tracklisting. Soul Sucked Dry is listed as "Sould Sucked Dry", Schmoozer is listed as "Feeling Hurter".

Golden Feelings is the debut album by American musician Beck, released in 1993 by Sonic Enemy. The album showcases his roots in the anti-folk scene. Initially available only in limited quantities on cassette, Sonic Enemy remastered the album and re-released it on CD in 1999. Beck was upset that they did so without his permission, and after he made his displeasure known, Sonic Enemy ceased to press any more copies. Only 2,000 were made, causing the CD to become quite valuable. Beck - Golden Feelings Full Album. Golden Feelings is the first and debut studio album by Beck. The album is characterized by how unlistenable it is, the distortion of Beck's voice in multiple songs, and the strange songs on the album. The album was originally released on cassette, and was re-released on CD in 1999 but with a very limited quantity. The songs on the album are some of Beck's earliest, and a few would later return on other albums. Listen free to Beck Golden Feelings The Fucked Up Blues, Special People and more. 17 tracks 41:14. Released 1993. Golden Feelings Tracklist. The Fucked Up Blues Lyrics. His very first, Golden Feelings. It is as weird as his first song, The Fucked Up Blues. Feelings is a wild-shot produced with an off-time guitar and vocals, Soul Sucked Dry is a crying song with a wailing guitar and harmonica with a very surprising ending, while Magic Stationwagon is feedback all the way through, with a chugging soundtrack, and is probably the most creative out of the bunch. Golden Feelings Q&A. Producer Beck. Golden Feelings. Indie Rock. Heartland Feeling. Super Golden Black Sunchild. Soul Sucked Dry. Gettin Home. Will I Be Ignored By The Lord. Re-released in 1999 by Sonic Enemy, this 17-track collection documents Beck's first officially released, self-recorded, full-length album of four-track noodlings and documents his genius in embryo. Like Stereopathetic Soul Manure, Golden Feelings features muddy production values, an array of taped TV and music blurbs, and entertaining between-track dialogues and noises. This CD reissue was made without approval from Beck, and pressing ceased after he voiced his displeasure to the label. Only 2000 copies were made. Originally compiled and released in Spring, 1993. Beck Takes A Bow On Cassette With Golden Feelings. Its only fitting that one of the coolest careers in recent music history should have its beginnings in a super-rare underground recording. Published on. Beck Hansen made his debut on cassette in 1993 with a project that was less an official album statement and more a home recording experiment. Either way, to those that were lucky enough to hear it, it advertised a truly original talent. As uDiscovers album-by-album Beck series goes back to his recording origins, this is the story of Golden Feelings. Golden Feelings is ranked 37,224th in the overall chart, 6,560th in the 1990s, and 616th in the year 1993

I bought the last one out of the box that night at the Grand...and a t-shirt...:)

I bought one while he still had a small stack of them. I *really* hope I still have it somewhere.
