Mattaraja is influenced by Ethiopian music in particular Mulatu Astatqe and Hip Hop. The song title was taken after a recent trip to India and is construct of Matt and the Indian word Maharaja.

Its been a few years since the last record but Mister Ott album number 3 is well and truly under the way. We have been transversing the sonic worlds of Tuareg desert blues guitar, 1970s Miles Davis psychedelia, Vietnamese disco rock influenced Krhuangbin, Studio 54 disco, and I guess its taking me back to the year I was born 1977 and the music that brought me into existence. Thanks to everyone who has been there along the way for me and I cant wait to bring this album of organic original music to you in the near future. Stay tuned.
