Mercury Falling - Sting. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Mercury Falling. Mar 08, 1996. Track List And Lyrics. There are clever touches, no Sting album would be complete without them. There's no title track, but mercury falling is the first line of the first song and the last line of the last song. It's a wise move, for never has an album sounded quite so rounded. Mercury Falling is the fifth studio album by Sting, released in 1996. The album begins and ends with the words mercury falling. In 1997, the album earned Sting two Grammy nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot. The track Twenty Five to Midnight was excluded from the American and Canadian releases. It was included in the CD-Maxi Single of You Still Touch Me, as the 4th track. Building from surprisingly simple, memorable melodies, Sting creates multi-layered, vaguely soul-influenced arrangements that carry all of the hallmarks of someone who has studied music, not lived it. Of course, there are many pleasures in the record - for all of his pretensions, Sting remains an engaging melodicist, as well as a clever lyricist. There just happens to be a distinct lack of energy, stemming from the suffocating layers of synthesizers. Mercury Falling CD, Album. A&M Records. Mercury Falling,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен. Mercury Falling is the fifth studio album released by Sting. The album was marked by its tight studio production and use of brass reminiscent of recordings made at FAME Studios in the 1960s. His release was considered by many fans to signal the beginning of Sting's transition from heavier jazz-inspired rock to the adult contemporary genre. On Mercury Falling, Sting manages to stay true to his pensive nature while injecting healthy doses of levity into the mix. Rather than deflecting his doubts and concerns as he seemed to do on Tales, he confronts them with equal parts irony, hope and wistful resignation. As its title suggests, changing weather is a prominent motif, a symbolic caprice in relationships. On The Hounds of Winter, Sting wails over a mournful synth backdrop about a lover who has deserted him. A little photo collage on Sting's song Hounds of Winter from Mercury Falling .
